John Vento was recently appointed Chair of Division 8 - International Contracting - of the American Bar Association's Forum on the Construction Industry.  Division 8 provides education about legal trends in the construction industry in the global marketplace.
 
The Forum on the Construction Industry is a national opportunity for attorneys serving the construction industry to meet others in the construction field, attend educational sessions, exchange views and stay current on recent legal trends impacting the construction trades.   The Forum's twelve Divisions are designed to cover every aspect of Construction Law from project planning and financing to alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Vento recently co-authored a chapter on discovery in international disputes in the ABA’s Discovery Deskbook for Construction Disputes.  Tailored to the unique and specific demands of construction litigation, the Discovery Deskbook for Construction Disputes provides on-target information on how best to organize a construction case for trial and use all available discovery tools to their best advantage.

Mr. Vento is a shareholder in Trenam Kemker’s Tampa office and Chairs the Firm's Construction Law and Government Contracting Practice Group.  He has been voted a Florida Super Lawyer for 2007 and appears in the current publication of Best Lawyers in America.
