Robert Mitchell Appointed to Hillsborough County Civil Service Board

Rob Mitchell, an associate in Trenam Kemker’s Tampa office was recently appointed to serve as a member of the Hillsborough County Civil Service Board by Governor Crist.  His term began August 10, 2007 and ends July 2, 2011.  Mr. Mitchell succeeds Andrew Diaz.

The mission of the Hillsborough County Civil Service Board is to provide effective human resource services and leadership to Hillsborough County citizens, agencies, and employees.  Hillsborough County Civil Service Board Members are volunteers from the community who are appointed by the Governor and they receive no monetary compensation for their work.

Mr. Mitchell joined Trenam Kemker in April 2007. He practices general business litigation with an emphasis on construction law and government contracting.  Before joining the firm, he was with the Tampa firm of Bush Graziano & Rice, P.A.  Mr. Mitchell also practiced previously as an Assistant Public Defender in Hillsborough County.  He had a distinguished military career serving in the United States Air Force for over twenty years, including twelve years as a member of the Judge Advocate General Corps.
