Bill Zewadski joined the firm in 1971 and has been a Member since 1975. He has also been an elected member of the American Law Institute since 1987. His practice involves commercial litigation, bankruptcy, workouts, lender liability, secured transactions and banking litigation. He is a nationally recognized leader in the bankruptcy area. He served as Chair of the American Bar Association's Bankruptcy Litigation Subcommittee from 1992-1994 and again from 1999-2008, and served as former head of the ABA Creditors' Rights Subcommittee from 1994-1998. He has been an American Bar Foundation Fellow since 1992 and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute since 1985.

Bill graduated from Emory University with a BA in history with high honors in 1966 and earned his JD with high honors from the University of Florida in 1969. At the University of Florida, he was a Florida Blue Key member and editor-in-chief of the University of Florida Law Review, as well as first in his class.

Besides his national work, Bill is actively involved in local and state associations. He was chair of The Florida Bar's Bankruptcy Creditor's Rights Committee from 1979-1982 and chair of The Florida Bar's Business Law Section from 1984-1985. Also, Bill has served as a Director of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and has been a member since 1990. Bill served on the Executive Council of The Florida Bar's Business Section for 18 years. Bill is also recognized in The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers and has been in each for many years.

In addition to his extensive professional involvement, he is active in the arts community. Bill serves on the boards of the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts, the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, and the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University, Atlanta. He also served for 28 years on the board of the Tampa Museum of Art and its predecessor, the Tampa Bay Art Center, and was President of each. For eleven years he served on the Arts Council of Hillsborough County.
