Overview
Alma Torres is an associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group.
Alma has experience representing debtors, creditors, and liquidating agents in complex bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 11, Subchapter V, Chapter 7, and Chapter 13 proceedings, as well as related adversary proceedings. She has successfully confirmed both individual and commercial Chapter 11 plans. She also has experience in state court matters including the domestication of foreign judgments, post-judgment enforcement, defending contractual disputes and homestead issues.
Alma earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, where she gained invaluable experience as a Judicial Extern in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida with the Honorable Roberta A. Colton.
