Overview

Anthony Marzocca is Senior Counsel in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group.  His practice is focused on representing creditors, investors, and private equity groups in business reorganizations, bankruptcy proceedings, commercial foreclosures, and loan workouts.

Anthony brings a solution-oriented commercial mindset to matters to help clients obtain the best outcomes in often challenging situations.

Prior to joining Trenam, Anthony practiced at several prominent law firms in New York where he advised on high-profile restructurings, private capital transactions, and commercial litigation.  He has experience with representing debtors, creditors, investors, and sponsors in complex Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed transactions across a range of industries, including healthcare, retail, energy, and financial services.

Following law school, Anthony served as a law clerk to the Hon. Robert D. Drain (Ret.) of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Representative Matters

Creditors’ Representations
  • Represents lenders, landlords, individuals, and other financial institutions in bankruptcy, federal court and state court commercial foreclosures, receiverships, and general civil litigation.
  • Represents judgment creditors in collection matters, including domestication of foreign judgments, garnishments, replevin, and proceedings supplementary.
  • Represents fulcrum creditors in ad hoc groups (1L and 2L) in complex Chapter 11 restructurings involving takeback paper, warrants, and equity.
Business Restructuring / Distressed Transactions
  • Represents purchasers in 363 sales in bankruptcy.
  • Represents purchasers in non-bankruptcy distressed transactions, including note purchases.
