In an article published by SRQ, Pete Skokos discussed Sarasota-based Norton Hammersley Lopez & Skokos joining with Tampa-based Trenam Law, bringing nine attorneys into the firm’s current Sarasota office.
On June 1, Norton Hammersley officially joined Trenam, adding attorneys with expertise in business, real estate, litigation and private client services. Skokos explained that after 35 years of independent practice in Sarasota, the administrative demands of growing the firm made Trenam a natural partner, offering the resources and staff needed to let attorneys focus on the practice of law.
“We can’t overstate the cultural aspect of it, the two cultures are very closely related, if not identical,” said Skokos. “Everyone at Trenam has been very welcoming, and it has been a pretty seamless transition.”
